Jarrett Gorin, AICP

Principal

Jarrett has over 35 years of experience in land use planning and real estate development. He has held both public and private sector positions.

He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he earned a BA in Geography with an emphasis in urban planning. He has been a member of the American Planning Association since 1992 and was admitted as a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners in 1998.

Since 1991, he has worked for government agencies and private companies, fulfilling responsibilities related to all aspects of real estate development project acquisition, site and building design, entitlements processing, and asset disposition. He has also served in a support role throughout construction and marketing phases.

Jarrett’s combination of design skills, technical knowledge, and development experience allows him to quickly assess opportunities and constraints that will affect a potential project and to craft strategies for success early in the process.

Outside of work, he serves as Chair of the City of Santa Barbara Citizens’ Oversight Committee and as a member of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors Government Relations Committee. He’s also a proficient offshore sailor and competes in regattas and point-to-point ocean races year-round.
